Position gel pads are commonly used as an aid in operating rooms and other medical settings to improve patient comfort during surgery or examinations and to prevent pressure injuries that can result from holding the same position for a long time, such as pressure sores (bedsores). Gel pads can be used in different positions, such as lithotomy, lateral, supine and prone position.
